Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves (20g) fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp (8g) fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) kosher salt
  • 1 loaf (340g) French baguette
  • 2 cups (225g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup (25g) grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt. Stir rapidly for 30 seconds to ensure the garlic oils are fully suspended in the butter.
  3. Slice the baguette in half lengthwise and place the halves cut side up on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Spread the garlic butter emulsion generously from edge to edge across the bread.
  5. Immediately cover the buttered surface with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake for 10–12 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and golden and the edges are deep mahogany.
  7. Toggle the broiler for the final 60 seconds to achieve a shattering crust, watching closely to prevent burning.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it sit for 2 minutes before slicing into sticks.
