Ingredients:
- 2 cups (250g) self-rising flour
- 1 cup (245g) plain non-fat Greek yogurt
- 1 large egg, beaten (optional, for wash and binding)
- 1 tbsp everything bagel seasoning (optional, for topping)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour and Greek yogurt.
- Using a spatula, fold the ingredients together until a shaggy dough forms and no dry pockets of flour remain.
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Fold it over itself 3–4 times to shape into a rough log or boule, being careful not to over-knead.
- Transfer the dough to a parchment-lined 8.5 x 4.5 loaf pan. Brush the top with the beaten egg wash and sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes until the exterior is deep golden-brown and the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
- Let the bread cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing to allow the internal steam to set the crumb structure.
